Stillness-Movement & Medical Qigong Workshop March 21,22,23

Recommended Posts

I am posting this because I have received several private emails from members of this group asking questions about the workshop. Hopefully this will help clear up your questions.

When is the Workshop?

March 21st and 22nd is the basic workshop. March 23rd is Clinical Applications Day.

Can I attend all 3 days?

The first 2 days are Stillness-Movement and other methods. This is open to beginners to advanced. We will have a mixture of students. For the 3rd day, only practitioners who have been studying with me or those who already can project qi (individual process; anyone wishing to attend the 3rd day must individually talk with me about your qualifications).

Can I attend the 3rd day and not learn the Stillness-Movement as I already practice another form?

No. You can continue to practice whatever you like, but the Stillness-Movement is inherently involved with the information based energy projection that is performed individually to each student. You cannot access this information without doing Stillness-Movement. Stillness-Movement is very powerful and most people who learn this form continue to practice it the rest of their life. The only forms that could conflict with it are the forced cultivation methods. Most people who were doing forced cultivation methods who also learn Stillness-Movement drop the forced methods. MOST ANY movement form will be complemented by the Stillness-Movement so it works harmoniously with any internal MA form or any qigong movement form.

What is the Gift of the Tao movement form? Will we learn that form in the workshop?

The gift of the Tao are powerful, simple movements that approach non-linearity through Shamanic Shifting. They are reflected energy patterns as seen in Higher Vibratory states.

We will go through these movements but it is impossible to learn all of them in a single weekend. Hopefully you can remember some of them. This simple system can actually be learned from the DVD.

What is Taoist Medicine? Will I learn that at this workshop?

This thread answers most questions.

Only the folks attending the 3rd day will learn the INTRODUCTION to this system. If you are a physician or therapist you will be shown enough to go ahead and start with this system on your clients.

How do I get there? How about motels?

There is a Super 8 motel next door to the Institute so you can walk to class. You will be given a discount code when you register, last year the fee was only $40 per night. Email or PM about flight information.

Do I have to read the book before attending?

No. But it is probably a cheap way to see if you resonate with what is taught before paying for a workshop.

To answer some other questions I have been asked via email or PM.

How many workshops do I have to attend to learn Stillness-Movement?

Just this one. Once you have attended a single workshop you will have the complete Stillness-Movement system for your own. You never have to see me ever again. If you go home after the workshop and practice. If you go home and think about it for a week or two without practicing you will lose it.

Will I learn the Taoist Medicine and the Medical Qigong in the first workshop? Read above post.

You will learn the INTRO methods. Yes, this will be practical knowledge.

Will you make me a Master in this workshop? (this one did not come from this forum's members but I thought you may find it amusing.) Some folks think that way.

Two Answers I have are: If you think that is possible then can I interest you in some swampland in Florida I have for sell? OR Sure! But that will cost an additional $10,000.

Do you have a syllabus for your program that you can send me?

All the info I have is on my website www.qigongamerica.com

The system I teach is non-linear and the techniques are taught by doing instead of reading about them. I have found that students get a whole lot more out of doing than reading about. In other words, when we do clinic day it will be real-time problems solved and not a cookbook approach. So the answer is no, I do not have additional information that I can send. If you enjoy the method of reading then spitting back answers then go somewhere else, that is not what this is about. This is experiential.

All that said, graduates of my program will be qualified for certification through the National Qigong Association as a Clinical Qigong Therapist as I am a certified level IV (senior) teacher through the organization.

Hi Michael,

thankx for the response to my PM.

While you say that even the Gift of the Tao Form has to be experienced instead of things being described by words...

if you don't mind it would be nice to get a little info on what the practice main focus is.

:)

The Gift of the Tao: Vibratory Acts of Power is a movement system that puts into effect the law As Above So Below. These Vibratory Acts are a Shamanic Shifting technique and are a complementary Chi Kung system where each move is a reflection of energy patterns perceived on the Higher Vibratory Levels. As one moves through these reflected patterns the energy body's vibration shifts thus allowing increased perception. One of the moves is a DNA re-programming technique. These moves were revealed to me by Spirit through the practice of the Dreaming Qigong aspect of Stillness-Movement practice over a 15 year period.

I thought there was no forms in your system?

Forms is just a word, but they are forms of qigong. See above for Gift of the Tao. The Stillness-Movement is a neigong technique that is especially powerful for those that wish to learn to manipulate energy. This form relies on information-based energy projection by the teacher.

So you made up this system based on dream qi kung?

Who has been your current teachers that are alive and living beings, I dont know if that is on your site and please forgive me if it is.

I didn't "make up" the system. It was revealed to me in Dreamtime; I SAW it in Dreamtime. SEEING comes about from the practice of Stillness-Movement.

Why do you think my teachers are still alive and living beings? Dude, I've messed around and gotten older, but hopefully have many good years left to pass on these amazing systems. As far as the systems I teach, I'm it. Pics of Master Wang are on my website. Here my wife and I are doing Stillness-Movement in his hot, hot attic in China. He ascended several years ago. My bio is on my website as well as on the flyer for the workshop if that interests you. Here is the flyer in .pdf form.

I asked a question please dont take offense and get all defensive!

No offense or defense intended.

I was trying to make a joke about getting old but had to edit it because it turned too serious when I put Master Wang's name in. He meant a whole lot to me.

How long was you with him?

Here is my bio

I was a senior western student of Master Wang for close to 10 years before he passed on. He asked me to teach his system in the west saying "It is NOW time for this to be made available to the people of the West."

Prior to studying with Master Wang I apprenticed for 12 years with a Taoist Master.

But are you interested in the question, How can this system help you? or another better question, How can this system help you to help others?

No, im interested in what you have trained and who you trained with!

A good 40 minute walk is as good as anything you can take that to the East and teach them that on behalf of Spirit Ape and proven good for everyone especially over sized Taiji and Qi Kung masters!

What do you think your art would benifit the world, in which way?

Since it is hard to tell on the internet the intended inflections I have no idea if you are being serious or just clowning around.

If you are serious with that answer then my experience is you are looking at the wrong thing in trying to make any decisions based on who trained with who. It sounds to me that you are not interested in the art itself? I apologize if I am interpreting this wrong, but if you wanted my advice, which my feeling is you probably don't, it is to look at the art that resonates with you and stick to it. If you want to learn to heal others seek a qualified Medical Qigong program. It is a serious art and science and, just like anything else, requires time & effort. If you want to just practice a qigong form I guess you already are? Stick with it if it works for you. A Teacher once told me it if far better to go a long ways down a single path than a short ways down many paths.

This is, in my opinion, an uninformed statement. Qigong walking is entirely different than just a walk in the woods. Probably when I see the most transformations in students is when they do qigong walking and tree qigong.

What do you think your art would benifit the world, in which way?

A serious question.

You are probably too young to have fallen to any pain in your life? When one is young they tend to think they are physically immortal and nothing can touch them. At some point this changes for quite a lot of people. Pain can be a wonderful teacher but with continuation is a horrible thing that can put a damper on spirituality. Humanity, due to so many things such as toxins, thought forms, etc, has fallen in their basic energetics which has resulted in dis-ease manifestation. Humanity needs HELP.

Each person that practices Stillness-Movement can assist by bringing in Higher Level vibrations. These vibrations do not stop with the practitioner but can help instill calmness where they are practiced. The world desperately needs calmness right now.

Each person that learns medical qigong can make a difference with patients with dis-ease. Sometimes making a little difference changes a person's whole life. Take away their pain and watch their whole energy body change! This is also desperately needed by humanity.

Are you the only disciple of your teacher (physcial one not dreamtime)? If not are any of the teachers Chinese Students teaching this?

Oh, I know what pain is dont think your the only one that has recieved or still recieving it!!!

Im not here to learn a system just to see what others teach, see things as, developed and understood that is all!

I have had contact with one of Master Wang's senior Chinese students several times over the last few years. One thing about this is that Master Wang and his students worked with helping people awaken their inner talents. For instance, among my students are SEERS and other talents, not just the talent of energy projection. In fact, a person's natural talent will manifest with the practice of Stillness-Movement no matter what that particular talent is.

Sorry to hear of your pain. For me, I have to give pain its due credit as a wonderful teacher. Without it I would have never found these wonderful systems of health & awareness.

As far as your last sentence, it is improbable to really see what someone teaches from the net and in the case of Stillness-Movement, totally impossible. I can only talk around it. It must be experienced personally in order to have any idea of what it can do.

Ya Mu - I am thinking about taking your workshop, but it is coming up fast...and this month will be pretty busy for me.

Do you know when the next one you're going to hold will be?

And a few logistical questions:

1) What airport would we fly into - UNO/KUNO?

Or do people normally fly into a bigger one (MCI, SUS, SGF, STL) and drive there?

2) Is this the exact address where it will be held?

1126 Porter Wagoner

West Plains, Mo 65775

3) What is the cheapest, closest, clean hotel/motel to the workshop? Where do attendees usually stay?

4) Yo...is anyone else here planning on going? :)

Springfield, Mo (2.5 hrs driving distance) is the closest airport. The cheapest would be Memphis, Tn (3.5 hrs driving) or Little Rock, AR (4 hrs driving) or St Louis, Mo (4 hrs driving). So you see we are not really close to anywhere.

There are students coming from Springfield that I may could get you a ride with (would be up to them, but they are nice folks). Also from Indiana (Indianapolis). Perhaps from West Virginia and Mississippi.

I have a deal with the Super 8 motel which is next door to my Institute for $40 per night. I will furnish lunch on Saturday. West Plains is a small town of 10K.

I never schedule another class until after I do the one scheduled. I could at any time decide I am tired, quit teaching and go fishing.

Yes that is the correct address. But even if you didn't have it you could just follow the qi (16 ft sign on Bldg with Qi (Chinese) symbol on each end). Nothing in West Plains is over 10 minutes form my clinic/school.

Feel free to give me a call if you want to talk.

I hope not!

I know a medicine man who's teacher lived in a house 1 mile behind the house that he told everyone he lived in. So casual seekers who wanted to find him, put off by the fact he was never home, lost interest. But those who REALLY wanted to learn or be healed could find him IF they sought hard enough.

Perhaps it is too easy these days. After all, how could something so easy be so powerful?

Perhaps if I made it a lot harder those that really wanted it would still find it.

Hmmnn, now to build that house a mile behind my existing one...

I'll keep that in mind: look a mile behind the house, or on the lake.

OK,

Come on down and we'll do either mile-back qigong or fishing qigong.

Oh please, as if a plane ride and a 2.5 hr drive isn't already waaayyy more difficult than a mere 1 mile hike! :D

Trust me, that's already more than enough to scare any casual seekers off!

Cool thanks for all the helpful info!

So, looks like the KUNO/UNO municipal airport isn't really in use for large commercial flights. The Springfield airport then is SGF. But at just a week & a half out, airfares are $800-$1000 for me. Uh, looks like this is not a good time for me right now then, unfortunately.. :(

I'm definitely still interested, though. I just got too busy and fell behind the curve on this one, and your locale may take a bit more logistical planning to get to. So, HOPEFULLY, you will decide to hold some more shops though...for some reason June sounds good for me.

Airfare is usually cheapest to Little Rock, Ar or St Louis, Mo. Gives a little drive but not too bad.

What has happened with the phenomena seekers and casual seekers. For many years I got a ton of these. Just a downright aggravation to TRY to teach. But over the last several years I have been fortunate enough to get ONLY the top notch energetic students; really a pleasure to teach. Although sometimes I throw them a curve ball and get one or two of my healing clients into the workshop because they really need it. What has happened is that only those whom this is for are the ones attracted to this. This is the reason I have found it very funny when I have been accused on this forum of "cruising for students". The Tao cruises for my students, nothing I do makes much difference in who attends. Most of my students are amazing in their energetics, although in the beginning they may not know it yet!

I usually don't announce a workshop until the current workshop but since it is next weekend, I will go ahead and say yes, I am planning a June workshop. Dates TBA. You must have picked up on this.
