I think you all know my utter fascination with Wiki, right?
Well, there is a wiki site called "WikiHow" which is essentially a wiki of tips on how to do things: build a bike, get a free massage, etc...
Well, looking around there I found the How to become a Taoist page.
So here are the essential steps:
1) Read the Tao Te Ching
2) Research Taoism further. Many translations can be found in bookstores, libraries and on the world wide web.
3) If you find it appealing, you can call yourself a Taoist.
Isn't this wonderful? So simple and direct. I was a Taoist pretty much all my life and I never knew it. WTF!
Being a wiki we can add things and modify things. So here is my suggestion...
What was according to you the point after which you started considering yourself a Taoist?
Did you need a formal initiation, or when you started practicing taoist practices, or what?
