As a veteran of the last Los Angeles Kunlun seminar, I'd like to offer any taobums contemplating their own Kunlun adventure a travel tip: focus on your own experience of the practice itself, and forget about Max the personality. Here's a short list of things I no longer care about....whether Max is a master, an egotist, a fake, a nice guy, a real lama, bodisattva, etc.
(snip)
I find I'm happier now after practicing Kunlun for only a few weeks. And while I could do without all the drama surrounding Max, I'm all about the happiness.

I want insight on powerful simple system that produces a bit of happiness, health and clarity of mind. I'd be happy w/ 2 out of 3

. The only transmission I know about is in my car. I'm very curious to experience it.

I’m like this too. Don’t really care what people think about “Max” Just want a practice that I can do by myself to get some result.
I’m trying to wait till the end of the week (2 weeks practice) but even with my haphazard practicing I am “feeling good” and retention has not been making me feel frustrated like it usually does. The only strange experience I had was (I think) from trying to do the practice for an hour on the first 2 days. Since I’ve dropped back to ˝ an hour everything has been strangely great, and that’s with just the trembling feelings. No bliss or heat yet but I stop the “active” part as soon things start to happen and go into the closing form.

how can happiness be based on false grounds? what right or wrong grounds can there be?
Agreed (but what do I know) The only thing I worry about is does this have long term bad effects on your health? I.e. where are all the + 60 year olds that do this, how healthy do they look?
Also sort of pointless to talk about it as nobody has practiced it yet ………..
But with the level 1 +2+3 there is a lot if time needed in a solid block. My understanding of it is :- 1 hour for lvl one, probably take ~40min for the 36 reps of lvl 2 and hour of lvl 3 visualisation and then the 20 min closing. The book talks about level 2 + 3 being like kan and li, I don’t understand this ( but have Trunks link ) does it look like these levels complete and balanced this practice?
No need to worry about it for a year at least, but I would hate to really get into this because I just don’t have a block of time like that available, unless I stop kung fu
