Check it out... another sleep to the south convert:
QUOTE
I've been putting my pillow at the footend of my bed and slept the other way around for two nights now and the difference is HUGE! Feels like when I'm heading north I get energized which is not a good thing for sleeping. Lying the other way around there is a more harmonic feeling.
My girlfriend notices this also, she's never sleeping heading north again she said. I didn't mention how I felt about the change until she brought it up herself so its not like I put the idea in her head or anything. She wasn't very open to the idea of it beforehand but now its a fact in her eyes and mine also!
Great tip Yoda! The simple things can really make a big difference sometimes..
From another thread, but relevant here:
Science, astrology, vaastu/fengsui, and karma are simply different articulations of the same thing.
For anyone who doesn't have time or the patience with the campiness of the Thunderbolt film, here is the essence:
Science has always articulated the sun, the planets, stars, the galaxy, the moon, etc in terms of gravity. Several problems with that: gravity is an extremely weak force and a force that we can't relate to very well and it leaves the distinct impression that the relation between the sun, planets, the moons, stars, etc is that everything simply holds each other in a certain position like a string would giving the impression that planets and moons are about as interactive as several marbles just sitting on the living room floor are with each other.
Makes it hard to see the connection between planets, the moon, karma and vaastu and our spiritual evolution. There's a real disjunct between our intellectual understanding of science from our immediate experiences and intuitions that it's very hard for these two perspectives to help each other see more clearly.
The best scene of the film was when a small probe was shot at a comet by a spaceship. Scientists were concerned that this small speeding chunk of metal wouldn't make enough of a dent to really notice anything… they were hoping to kick up some dust. What happened was totally unexpected… the impact resulted in a large explosion that knocked out the monitoring spaceship's sensors. What happened there? We thought that comets were dead snowballs and not powderkegs of energy.
According to the film, we need to get past this idea of these planets and meteors etc being like baseballs floating in nothingness. The film follows the field of plasma physics to unpack their perspective that the sun, planets, moon, stars, galaxies are all **highly** interactive electrically and if you shoot a bullet at an object moving towards or away from the sun you had better be standing back as was the case with the comet exploding. This interaction extends throughout the universe: plasma physicists believe that electrical interactions are responsible for the swirling patterns found in galaxies, not so much due to gravity. Large planets like Jupiter transmit radio waves that we have detected that reach us all the time. According to this theory, we are constantly interacting with radio/electrical signals from the sun, moon, *all* the planets, meteors, comets, stars and even other galaxies transmit to us to some extent.
Not in the film, but there has been a lot said about humans being very electrical creatures from muscle contraction and nerve impulses, to more subtle perspectives of prana flow, the distinct electrical charge of each organ, the distinct charge of each cell, to the level of auras and the spirit itself is sometimes articulated as at the most subtle dimension of this spectrum.
The different positions of the sun, moon, and planets would all carry a different charge here on planet earth and may have subtle interactions with each organ of the body as per Chinese medicine. It becomes easier to ponder that each soul or a soul's karma may have a more comfortable moment of entry into the world due to the fields and currents created by the relative positions of the heavenly bodies.
How an antenna may pick up on a signal and filter and amplify certain aspects of that signal may be a useful analogy of how vaastu/fengsui operate within this setting helping or hindering our interactions with these many signals to determine whether we experience music or static.
While the exact interactions and mechanisms will likely remain very mysterious, this new scientific perspective at least offers an intellectual perspective more consistent with human intuition and subtle perception on these matters.
