I'm 57 years old, pushing 58. I'm geting married tomorrow for the second time, to my sweetheart. We've been together for 14 years. We'll be in Scottsdale at the Kunlun seminar and in Sedona for the free lecture.

I've noticed that there are lot of young Tao Bums here, so I thought I would invite all young Taobums over 50 to chime in to this thread. I also invite all other Taobums to chime in. All who choose to chime in, please state your age. Gracias smile.gif .

I'm AugustLeo - Michael. I currently live in Rhode Island.

Here's what I have to offer to all of you Tao Bums. I filled my cup early, and have lived my life based on what was in my cup.

Now, I'm learning how to empty my cup, because in a few short experiences, I've learned that empty is better than full. I don't know anything that you don't. I have no wisdom to offer; I'm not wise.

But I know I love you all.

And I'm here everyday because you teach me every day.

Hey there Leo-
I'm turning 54 in early March...

Yes emptying is the way to fullness...from being full of stuff to emptying in order to be filled with light...This has been a good way for my own inner space to be somewhat transformed through practices both esoteric and mundane...

Here - with our fellow Bums, we may each find new ways to transform our selves in the comfort of friendly supportive seekers...

And I am pretty sure that if we can keep our minds open, age will take us onward and inward/upward with ever lighter loads to carry...

Congrats on the wedlock-!!!
Love to all-PDG

I'm another one of the old farts elder statesmen that usually lurks around here on the board.

At 56, I seldom manage to empty my cup - rather, when I actually manage to stop and check I discover once again that I'm full of it.

AugustLeo (Michael), my wish for you and your bride is that your marriage become an ongoing celebration of what is possible. May you be so profoundly happy/sad/angry/blissful together that you can barely contain it.

All the best,
Charlie

53 here. The past couple of years have been a time of really discovering what makes me tick. I'm learning that "the journey is the destination" is more than a cliche. The Bums has become my cyber home. Just sit back, read and learn.

Michael, here's wishing you guys the very best. Hope to make it over to one of the lectures and meet some real life Taobums.

I guess I'm the babe at 50. Michael, I always tell my single friends, marry your second wife first. Too late for me, but I got it right the second time.

And you are... just not cool.gif that old...

You seem to have more patience than many of us Darin, The younguns will catch us up... in a while these human sprouts will be closer to our ages as a percentage of our time alive... as time goes on all things become closer to eachother in some way...

not to worry, not to hurry...

now I'm off to get my geritol/viagra fix... cool.gif

I am getting close but not quite in the club yet. I turn 50 in June. But I have lived in Taiwan for 15 years. I am told that speeds up the aging process!

take care,
Brian

Hi Brian. The age I chose was arbitrary, so I feel empowered to welcome you into the club of older yet ageless seekers of the Tao.

I'll be 50 in October. I knew there were a couple other "oldsters" out there. Nice to see everyone.
