By the way, I was wonder what all of you Tao Bums do for a living??? I am thinking about dropping out of college and starting a career in Qi Gong, with certification from the HT and here) so I am wondering what do you all do for a living??? (you can PM me if its too wild to list here) or perhaps you are lucky and you are a TaoBum all day like Sean, Ron and Yoda? What the fuck do these people do??????

But anyway, since I am thinking about/did drop out from college, are any of you familiar with Roger Jahnke? Know anyone who took his 3 week, $3,000+ training for "Your new career in the energy healing revolution"" which among other things teaches how to network with hospitals!? Who is familiar with Jahnke? Should I invest in integral Tai Chi and Qi Gong Training?

I don't think it is a good to become a healer or qi gong teacher if there is any question about it. I think it must be something that you just do naturally.

Ideally, you would do the practices for years and years and peel through the layers of yourself until you understand the practices from so many different angles. You will have done the practices, left them, done them again, gotten disgusted with them, been drawn back to them, gotten bored with them, taught them to friends, had your friends have problems with them, gotten depressed, left it all for a couple of years...come back to them etc.

But, some people are naturals: they do it well, have a pure heart that protects them from the projections of your students/patients, and just do it with no thought.

Good luck on your search!

Chris
Yoda
Mrs Yoda has no idea what I'm up to either, if it's any consolation.

Don't invest in training unless you are passionate about it. Better and cheaper to get on the job training. Maybe volunteer at a hospice, hospital, retirement home and see what you think and network from there.

GrandTrinity
Well perhaps here is somthing to do. Yes I am passionate about it. This of course, worried my g-partents and parents slightly, as they too search for the infinite light, they do no see the future yet, but of course I am passionately thinking that this is a good "investment" but that MAKES ME SOUND SO MUCH LIKE A BUSINESS MAN and it sucks but you got to have an income or your just going to be a bum.

hum hum hum like a bird

LOL True I could volunteer at a hospital or hospice or retirement home if I was less passionate I sapose. Networking is good. Perhaps meet a hot doctor chick, bang her, have little g-trinities and live off of her $ as I study the tao. Is that what you did yoda? laugh.gif

Voice: this is something I am doing naturally, I cannot stand to study anything else or I have to get up and dance around. Yes I have a pure heart unlike Ron tsu tsu (j/k we luv you Ron)... naturally

As for "Ideally, you would do the practices for years and years and peel through the layers of yourself until you understand the practices from so many different angles. Well thats why I need to find teachers who have done that with mantak chia's system and other good systems and are now teaching it/mantak/perhaps Roger Jahnke? This is a big decision for me, but I want to make the right one. Where is lao tzu when you need him? I will go think about the 1.

Dude,

Goto to college get some generic degree, say accounting, work 40 hours a week for some company and pursue your hobbies. You wont have to worry about money and you will have enough time to parctice whatever activites you want. Once your hobby begins to rpoduce enough money, quit your job and pursue it full time.

The beauty of an accounting degree is that you can move anywhere with it. You find a great teacher in the NE then you can move there, then to California, or whereever and always have a good job. So you can spend the years required to refine your abilites and then do whatever you want.

You will be better off than the guy who works all the time chasing money and the [tao] bum who cant make rent, or has to live under some odd circumstances in order to pursue his/her goal.

This working at a regular job for some corporation may sound offensive to you now, but trust me its a great way to go, just use your spare time well. I wish I had realized it long ago, it would have saved me a lot of pain and frustration.

Best of luck with your decision.

That is exactly what one of my old friends did. While we were all fucking around, getting drunk and smoking pot, trying to figure out our "ultimate purpose", he was getting drunk and smoking pot while completing an accelerated accounting degree program. Before we knew it this guy was making $50k a year and still kicking it with us. He would work for 6 months and then take off and move to another state and have a three month vacation, get another accounting job if he felt like it, save enough to move somewhere else, etc. Pretty smart approach.

I wish man. rolleyes.gif I work full time for a web design company, and also tend to juggle a few freelance projects on the side to make ends meet.

Remember I am only 20 years old. I took accounting last year, freshman year of college and I dropped out of the class because I thought it was hell, accounting for money? Can 1 get any more boring and robot-like than accounting? I dont know. Also I do not think of this art as a hobby, nor a business!

It is funny you mention accounting, one of my teachers back in CT did exactly what you describe, he is now vice president of the healing tao instructors association, giving seminars at the NQA conferences and (I heard) is working 70/30% on healing rather than accounting. He also specializes in helping people like me find work in this "business" so I need to talk to him about all this...But its funny because my friend Raul, a hindu, is about to graduate with his accounting degree and he is about to study all of the qi gong I been getting into, seriously, people have been there done that...way I see it, I just gotta learn from them. Of course I am not Chinese but that will work to my advantage, it doesnt have to be a disadvantage, no?

"the greatest moves are made by those who unafraid and dont care how the game is played"-gfe

Forget a 9 to 5? I dont know, perhaps I will work on my B.A. in something like art? That way I can at least channel the energy.

College core curriculums required classes are retarded, but this college option is staying open now that you mention it. I wouldnt mind a few art classes I sapose...a few meaning right now the college door is looking 2/3rds closed. Art is the future, I could always get a degree/work in art, being an energy channeler it seems? If I knew what I as doing...even used technology/animation one day...sweet.

Now, I wonder what is the best art school?

p.s. More of you people share what your doing with your life please? Turbo? How are things working out?

hmmmmm, an accelerated accounting degree..

Maybe i could get that online too, or I could just work for Enron! just kidding, seriously good suggestion I will have to look into, I could concentrate on accounting and bypass the shit that comes with getting a B.A. Still, I would feel like a tool studying/doing accounting! It would be COMPLETELY ignoring 1 side of the brain and using the other side...thats some seriously dualististic brain damage.

You know, I think we've all wondered that at least once. biggrin.gif
GrandTrinity
I wondered it more than once!

For what its worth, I work in a university in UK. I do some computer based teaching (Access/Excel etc), and I also do database/web page/technical work for the school.

I would (naturally, given my job) say that it is worth getting a university degree, provided that it is a reasonable one (ie one that could actually be applied in the real world) and that you put in the effort. You may or may not then use this degree later in life, but at least you wil have more options. As had been said, it may just provide the means to keep your interests funded.

I earn enough to live happily, and have time to spend as I please (I don't have work everyday). I don't think I would be in this position if I didn't have my degree.

I don't know what the situation is like where you live (largely because I don't know where you live!), but here there are far more people than jobs, and so if you want to have the option of getting a good job you need to stand out.

So, I would advise that you think long and hard before giving up your studies, but I am perhaps a lot more square than many here smile.gif

Hi Grand Trinity,

Don’t be stupid, any one who sells a weekend get qualified and become all knowledge courses is at it. Learning to network with hospitals and other sources of revenue takes a long time to prefect. There is not a lot of money in it at the beginning many of my friends do this sort of thing for a living and the real world comes as a shock to them.

Get qualifications academic ones that will fund you becoming a taobum in the future; you need 4 things to follow the way in general.

1. money
2. place to stay
3. time
4. partner ( tongue.gif )

So you need a job to get these together and once they are in place they support each other. Personally I have a BA Hons among other qualifications work as a consultant or in business development. I pick my hours and decide when and where I work I can only do this as I have qualifications.

My training is my main interest both alchemy and martial arts I use them to see thing in my normal work that others can’t. But to get to the place I am now I worked clubs, collected debts and body guarded people. Every immortal had some skill or trade that allowed them to get where they are now (it helped to lay the foundation).

When it is your time to become a teacher of Taoism then it will happen a bit off paper gives you permission but will not make you a teacher. Remember it is not just methods that you teach but also experience and that takes time.

You can be both a taobum and a university student, which leads to being a taobum with all the 4 needs met.

Let thing take their time and remember “that a warriors path is to have a foot in both worlds”

I totally agree with this from experience. You absolutely need to prepare a solid foundation for life within society. Even if it means boring, crappy job for a while. You cannot train if you're worried about starving or freezing your butt off. There are more than a handful of would-be full-time artists and healers out there, that, despite the best of skills and intentions, were unable to make it because they didn't have the business experience to survive.

Most of the time that means poor marketing and being too idle, but it goes further than that. I met a 'retired' metal sculptor last week, gifted artist, that after 15 years of really working herself into exhaustion, she realized that she would have made more money if she sat at home reading magazines while the house she had inherited increased in resale value. She doesn't deny that she learned a TON during that process, and had plenty of wild, one of a kind experiences (Dave Mathews gave her a haircut once), but from a purely financial standpoint, she wasn't able to capitalize or properly price herself with the flurry of activity she was able to generate.

I gave up my boring well-paid desk job for something more interesting, more artsy, more pure, and it took years to figure out how to make a go of it, and I couldn't STAND the amount of time I had to spend to get it going and keep it going. But it forced me to make a lot of changes inside. Now that I have the faith in myself to pull things off, I also know I could have been very happy at that desk job if I could've only been in a place, as Ian said, to use alchemical training to find the gold in that job. I had to learn that there is no one, right, perfect job. It's more about cultivating the internal capacity to enjoy anything. I can be happy sweeping sidewalks if I can make enough to have the time I want to train, recharge, and the financial space not to worry about the rent & groceries and suck up that extra time with a 2nd job or something.

Tenguzake
I agree with Red Fox that there are tons of people out there with martial arts/healing/other esoteric skills trying to make a living and crapping out because they don't understand business particularly finance and marketing. If you go the business route try finance instead of accounting. It is much more interesting and it is about projecting into the future as opposed to explaining what happened in the past. The bucks are good too.

Or get your AA and apply to an acupuncture school. That might be the most direct way to apply your interest in Taoism and chi kung in a direction that will actually generate income for you. I was originally pre-med and might have gone this route had I know more about acupuncture at that point in my life.

Or get any degree and go teach English in China or Japan and study while you are there. I think Peter is teaching in China, based on his comments. I taught English in Japan for almost 3 years after finishing my undergrad. It is a great experience. You could do this and when you come home go to acupuncture school.

I did an undergrad in Asian Studies, lived in Japan, came home and worked for a Japanese travel company. I started a dojo at the same time and I crapped out because I didn't know anything about business. Got into real estate, went to grad school and got an MBA. I got another advanced financial certification. Today I turn consumer loans into bonds and sell them to institutional investors. I travel a lot on business and make enough bucks to do the training that I want to do.

I tell attorneys to keep their tongue on the roof of their mouths and to breathe with their belly in meetings and other things like that to keep people off balance. One can be financially successful and still not be a complete button-down corporate automaton.

From experience I can tell you there is nothing spiritual about being broke. Go study Maslow's heirarchy of needs. If you do want to escape from the world and totally avoid society, save enough $ to attend a few tracker school courses and you'll then have the skills you need to go live in the woods and survive without needing anything from society. That will give you plenty of time to practice your chi kung.

Yoda, I think you mentioned selling real estate somewhere. If that is right, you should check out NLP. It will help your sales skills. I use it in negotiations all the time.

Be Genki,

Tenguzake

You could take classes at Tracker (which I highly recommend btw) and then you learn how to access all of this stuff, all of these skills, but then what? You are left alone to figure it all out. How will being more spiritually aware and a good tracker or caretaker or survivalist help you when you figure out you need to work within society instead of running from it? How do you live it every moment? How will it help you learn to do the things you need to in order to keep a roof over your head and food on the table? How are you going to pay your rent while you are perfecting the skills you need to "go live in the woods and survive without needing anything from society" which isn't what 99% of indigenous people did anyway (they had systems of trade goin' on and did not live in isolation or even in isolated communities). What do you do when you're living in the woods and practicing your chi kung and it's been a couple of weeks and you're lonely? Honestly if I was going to have to live in the woods and survive alone I'd spend the $800 (or whatever it is now) on really good gear.

You know, I used to think about that a lot... running off to the woods. Hard not to when you've taken even one of those classes, and you hit that wall of grief about what we've lost (environmentally, culturally, you name it). Just screw this society and bolt, what's the point, it's all going to hell anyway.

The strange thing is, the more I practice qigong, the less that becomes a necessary/desirable goal. If it's spiritual progress I'm after, there's plenty of that to be had right here in the cauldron of the city. It's great to take a retreat once in a while to recharge the batteries. But when i go out to the woods, the woods reflects me back to me (sometimes, rather harshly!). When I drive, the traffic reflects me to me. When I go out in a crowd, I see myself in the crowd. When i sit and home and meditate or even just think, I still see me. It appears I don't have to go anywhere special or pure to cultivate.

im gonna go against every other person so far and stress:

forget formal education, forget building up a cv and working in some shitty accounting job or whatever.
forget all that bullshit, it is meaningless jibberish, it is the system trying to force us to conform.

oh but wait wait wait, you NEED a job to get by, we live in a society where this is what we NEED. this is what i always hear whenever i bring this up....

yeah so what, money aint everything. we came to this universe to have an experience, we find ourselves on planet earth in a human body, so why waste that chance on a virtual paradise planet working some slave job for corporate idiots who are run at the top by a nasty group of completely self-serving people.

unless you are interested in working for yourself, dont bother with all that gay employment bullshit. i mean do it for a time if you need to save up money for something or other, because for the time being we still are in a cash driven society (not for long though! either money ends, or we all end up implanted with microchips, and then we become a 100% slave society.... as opposed to about 80% slaves as we are now).
go with what you like. the universe provides for you (or really you cause the situations to provide for yourself) when its needed, as long as you are willing to do what is necessary.

currently i just got a 3 month contract working a science lab, i am a scientist by training (and what a waste of time, effort and money that university training was too.... could have learnt more in a week at a permaculture farm).
i didn't even try to get this job, it came to me without effort. see.... the universe provides.

after this 3 months of saving up i am off to have my adventure. life is an experience, life on planet earth is an experience and an adventure i aint gonna miss out on.

i will be a full time taoist bum. however i will be a working for myself bum, growing vegetables and herbs and so forth... maintaining a bit of land for my family, loved ones and friends (which also just came to me).

im gonna have fun and enjoy this life.... rephrase that... i AM having fun and enjoying this life. i definately aint gonna waste it in an office working for a company that is blatantly destroying this planet earth paradise (which about 90% or more of big companies are) working just so i get a bit of free time on the weekend.

fuck that.

go with what you like grandtrinity, enjoy your life. live your adventure. if you are sincere, then it will all work out best for you, wherever you go. dont get caught up in the system, it will be dismantled eventually anyways.

yeah, the investing course is awesome. teaches you how to track, what resources, etc. not necessarily convetnional methods.

the required reading for th efirst class is "iron john" and "games people play". both very good books. i think games people play had the bigiest impact on me. i went on to read another of berne's books called "what do you day after you say hello?" probably did more for my psychological work esoterically than any other book.

DREAM YOGA BE YOGA PRACTICED WHILE IN LUCID DREAM STATE,
SO YA NEED TO SEIZE YER DREAM MIND N GAIN CONTROL OVER YER ACTIONS N YER THOUGHTS WHILE IN DA DREAMS. YA CAN READ BOOKS ABOUT IT, BUT ESENTIALLY YA HAVE TO INVENT DA WAY, THRU BECCOMIN OBSESED WITH IT LIKE IT WAS A QUESTION O LIFE N DEATH (WHICH IN A SENSE , IT BE).

Mugwort can help you with lucid dreaming. Unless you can already lucid dream, in which case it will fuck it up. Be careful, though. If you're avoiding dealing with anything in yr life and you burn the mugwort or use it in a dream pillow, it WILL come up so make sure you're ready for that.

i agree with everything you said about "dream yoga." i'd like to add a few remarks. i go to the point where i could wake myself up before ejacualting. on the rare occasions i did, i noticed something significant. the semen becomes like water--no sperm present, or very very little. if you successfully transmute the jing (sperm) during practice, it leaves none to ejacualte if you run into trouble, or very little and the energy loss is minimal, perhaps insignificant. daily transmutation keeps you clear and nothing is there to feed the succubi. eventually the neutral space becames vast enough that the succubi cant threaten you. its protection. but they will do their damnedest to keep you from developing to that stage.

this is interesting for another reason--this transmuation is not some sort of vague energy work. a physical change takes place. a definite and observable physical change. your very matter is altered. in this case, sperm.

I've not held a real job since my priest gig gave out 10,000 years ago...

How'd you manage that, Yoda?

Simple... I made it my policy to die before the age of 30. So I could joyride my kidchi into the ground and repeat. I couldn't make further as I would invariably run out of sperm and die.

This life, I ran into a High Lama who insisted on giving me a long life blessing and I took it without thinking it all the way through... So this time I just got depressed, but didn't die.

Like what Ron said, you need a strategy to stay happy past 30.

yeah... redfox has hit it.... I have sacrificed nearly all of my spiritual gains... I have sacrificed any pracitical hope at a serious spiritual livelihood when I joined the army....
..but if I were serious about enlightenment then I could have made no better a choice!
I just turned 19... I will be working a cushy job in a little health clinic in germany... I graduate training this wednesday... ...it is not so much graduating from training but this bullshit way of life of the army trainee... it really has been a miserable fucking 6 months... but it is about to pay off !!

hahaha I am so excited to share this news with you guys... get back into the 'community'......... perhaps I have kundalini arousal waiting for me in germany... I bet I do.... especially since I have the money to throw away on teachers...

yes so I am a medic in the army....

Hey guys,

First, sorry for the delay in the answer for this thread.
Looks like a whole lotta bums out there...doing what they can to make a living and continue cultivation.

My job at the moment is in the marketing industry, with demands always high and constantly sucking my energy during the daytime...I have to practice twice as hard in the early regimens to keep myself up and then sustain myself with some whole food "good eats" and then back to the real in depth practices by night...and then I cool down with a walk with my two little furballs...it keeps me constantly busy, let me tell ya. I only have to "do time" for a year or so and then should be ready to launch the business of my dreams. This will be a continued health lifestyle institute...offering many services and products, and will be the product of 4 years in the making. Hopefully my homework has been thorough enough to keep the place in good standing for years! We shall see...in time.

One of the greatest gifts we recieve is the life we live, and what you do with it shows how much you appreciate it...

Sean, how about installing a fucken spell checker? I dont care but maybe some people will be annoyed byt thew spelling msiutakes in this.

Come on now, ONLY EIGHT of you have replied, revealing how you make ends meet(or not). What do you do for a living?????????? 6 of you are taobums full time? 2 students. 3-you dont want to knows....

I hear UK is the "metropolis of cool"? I am thinking of moving somwhere like Amsterdam so I can just become a farmer and chill for a while off that income. Or somewhere cool, perhaps where my $ will go much further? Maybe I could learn and meet people, explore the world or something.

Otherwise, I want to go ahead with this training for your new career in the "Energy healing revolution." I will be training/reading/searching hard with great passion over the next few months, as I have been for the past year, and perhaps my whole life. IanB, I respect your wisdom immensly. And before you rag on this training offered by Jahnke, perhaps look at it a bit closer, as it seems to be very thorough, this Roger Jahnke has good credentials. Perhaps this he offers the cutting edge course in "integral tai chi and qi gong". Good call on the 4 points: partner-money-place to live-time...good thinking. Willl expand on this partner idea and say perhaps more than 1 partner...maybe get 2...5...10,000. Same with $, places to live and time. Perhaps my services would take flight much better in a high class town where people have money to through around, rather than a little town (where I am now living...def something to think about, perhaps use to my advantage one way or the other).

Now, of course, people have thought about this before and either failed or suceeded in being a full time "tao bum" but basic logic tells me that there are INFINITE ways to "market" the truth-specificaly skills in tai chi kung fu yoga meditation-------------oneness.

So, now, lets brainstorm on them infinite ways:

Okay, I'll bite! I work at the public access TV station as the front desk as a glorified receptionist aka "member service representative." We keep getting our budget cut and have a hiring freeze and people quit, so we get the joy of more work for the same pay. And my hours are really bad...

So sometimes i hate it because most of the people that come in are crazy and draining and want to talk to me about aliens or government conspiracies or how the jews control the media...but then I just started getting into it when people yelled at me, feeding off that energy, and now I realized--and I've been experimenting with this--that when people direct tons of draining or angry energy to me, I can just take a deep breath, and breathe it in, and it feels SO good!!! Like today this guy totally yelled at me on the phone for no good reason and hung up, and it was SUCH an AWESOME chi blast!!! It made me smile for about ten minutes... Then there was the woman who spent about fifteen minutes telling me she wanted to get a pen to her daughter upstairs, but she didn't want to leave the pen here, or leave the pen with someone upstairs, or leave the pen with her daughter upstairs, or anything. Normally this would have frustrated me to no end (as I juggle the six phone lines on the switchboard, do my piles of data entry and deal with five zillion people asking me, 'do you know where so-and-so is?" as if i have the capability of monitoring the whereabouts of three dozen people. But today I just couldn't help laughing hysterically about the absurdity of it all. ANd then I said, "Just go upstairs! You can do it!! We'll be here when you get back! Okay, I'm gonna count to ten!"

So maybe my job is really a blessing in disguise. And I get a lot of free time to check e-mail... Also it gives me a lot of really great comedy routine material. You wouldn't even believe the shit that goes down here on a regular basis... I still want to work somewhere else, though.

I've been toying with ideas to get supplemental income with things I have been doing for free/donation for years, so that should be fun...

The UK is really expensive, btw...
neimad
grand trinity, you are one crazy dude.... you have to be the most regular poster of all here lately...

dont worry, its the energy of youth! at least you (like me too) learn about the importance of semen cultivation, we will be able to keep this youth for years to come yet!

holland is a cool place if you like smoking weed, getting drunk, fucking prostitutes and taking other kinds of drugs. the people are cool and crazy. but if the above doesn't interest you (it dont interest me anymore) then dont bother. it is probably the ugliest country i have ever been to in my life.... it did use to be underwater, and it shows.

there is hardly any forest/tree cover. no mountains. and once you go inland away from amsterdam the buildings are the ugliest you could ever imagine.

uk is so expensive. also a big drug capital, especially london (base of the illuminati, of course its gonna be a fucked up place.... wherever these guys have a base, surrounding them is shit. take washington for example, inner city of london for second example). i have been told about people who go to live in london that have never had drugs before, no interest in them.... a couple of months in london however and they are regular ecstasy imbibers, coke snorters and pot smokers, not to mention alcohol drinkers.

but then again the world is fast falling apart... should you want to survive past 2012 and into the future... GET OUT OF THE CITIES!

peace.

i agree with everything you said about "dream yoga."  i'd like to add a few remarks.  i go to the point where i could wake myself up before ejacualting.  on the rare occasions i did, i noticed something significant.  the semen becomes like water--no sperm present, or very very little.  if you successfully transmute the jing (sperm) during practice, it leaves none to ejacualte if you run into trouble, or very little and the energy loss is minimal, perhaps insignificant.  daily transmutation keeps you clear and nothing is there to feed the succubi.  eventually the neutral space becames vast enough that the succubi cant threaten you.  its protection.  but they will do their damnedest to keep you from developing to that stage.

this is interesting for another reason--this transmuation is not some sort of vague energy work.  a physical change takes place.  a definite and observable physical change.  your very matter is altered.  in this case, sperm.

[By the way, I was wonder what all of you Tao Bums do for a living??? I am thinking about dropping out of college and starting a career in Qi Gong, with certification from the HT.

My family is one of the largest importers of rugs from China and India in this country. actually, Europe too. If you plug my last name into any search engine you will probably see a bunch of ads for Rugs. I run a chain of stores here in sunny Arizona . Most of my family is on the East coast, NY and Atlanta. My Unlcles do a ton of traveling to China. When I finally get my MBA I wouldn't mind taking off for a few months and seeing all these beautiful spots.

So basically..I am in business.

i first learned western alchemy techniques. i learned somethihg that was taught ot me as an egyptian pranayama that involves inhaling the energy up the back channel, holding your breath as long as you can drawing the energy up, and exhaling with the mantram "SAGHHHHHH!" while sending the sublimated energy to the heart center.

the problem with this exercise is that it doesnt utilize the whole orbit and leaves you with too much fire inteh heart center, an issue i'm still dealing with. however, it is excellent for practicing the retention of semen as you tighten your peineum or sphincter to squeeze it upward.

i think a better practice than that though was the tibetan yoga i learned. it was six exercises which would be really hard to describe here. i learned it from a hispanic group and in spanish it was called "la masoneria." those six exercises were awesome.

now i think i've aged a little, very little. i didnt shoot my load for, oh jesus, 8 years or so, and did a western style dual cultivation with my ex-wife. but, it was all too heavily fire. that caused a little aging. then i started ejacualting again due to sexual issues that came up fromt hat practice and could only be resolved thru "normal" sexuality. so that has caused a little aging.

now i use the HT techniques which are much better.

No Probs GT!

I'm pretty much in the same position as you. Looking for a possible second degree/education or a job. In the middle of a smaller life crisis myself I'd say.
What the f**k to do with my life? ohmy.gif

I've done a B.A. in Business Admin & Economics in the Uk. Then worked in a Retail Bank for 1,5 years upon my return to Sweden. For different reasons, personal circumstances, and circumstances at work i ended up having a smaller burn-out, and also feeling this was not a milieu that fit my character I finally quit my job as agreed in order to continue studying. Did a term of Business-Law. I was motivated at first , but eventually it bored the shit out of me. dry.gif

Now I'm Unemployed, studying Entrepreneurship part-time 2 hours a week, looking for a proper job and in my spare time co-managing a small electronic dance-music recordlabel that my friend and I have kicked up. It's doing fairly well but it is not the best business to make money from in these times of mp3-downloading. But as a hobby, eventually, who knows what might come out of it? tongue.gif

I'm thinking of getting a degree in graphic design, as I have some talent, however I still haven't made up my mind if I should focus on something that I like, and maybe kill off whatever fun I get from doing it, or focus on a job that can make me some money (usually means no sparetime = no life!) The key is probably to find something in between.

Oh well. Those are my *big* problems.
There are people without shelter, food and water in other parts of the world. People that are facing conditions of War, famine and disease and here I am, worrying about whether I will ever get an inspiring work-employment or not. rolleyes.gif

Anyway. Whatever it will be, Personal development is priority numero uno for me now. "Gotta look out for number one" as they say! cool.gif
